Tuesday

Today the students observed the new playground equipment going in. Although it's not quite all in yet, it sure is exciting to see it sticking up.
In religion we talked about vocations. We discussed what a vocation is and that God calls us to our vocation.
We also talked about our special gifts and that God welcomed us into the His community when we were baptized.
In language arts we had the weekly assessment, along with a spelling test/dictation, and a CLOSE test. I will be taking a handwriting grade on spelling/dictation tests weekly. We also corrected Mountain Language and we completed Exercise Express. Students are getting a better understanding of commas and verbs.
In math students took the unit test for weighing in kilograms/grams and pounds/ounces.
Tomorrow we will begin multiplication.
In science we took the temperature and graphed it. Students were read a book about weather. Tomorrow students will receive their weather journal to write down what they are learning.

Friday is a buck-a-jeans day!
