         3rd Quarter Grading Changes
*Monthly Reading Logs not turned in will receive a zero (0).
*Students are expected to put capital letters and periods in sentences. Misplaced capital letters or no capital at the beginning of a sentence are counted wrong.
*IXL.com will be charted weekly and students will receive 10 points in math computation for completing 10 minutes a week on IXL.
*We are working away from invented spelling to traditional spelling. Students will be graded on basic spelling words in their daily writing and given a weekly spelling grade.

Today in religion students we told the story about the Prodigal Son and that God forgives you when you are sorry and He always welcomes you back.
In math we worked on weighing in kilograms and practiced weighing objects.
In science students played a game on solids, liquids and gases.
In language students worked on sequencing using the Gingerbread Man story.

Tomorrow we will begin a new story called, "Officer Buckle and Gloria".
