The school year is winding down. Students completed the end of the year math Dibels and they completed the end of the year math practice pages. They will be working on the end of the year assessment tomorrow.

In religion, we discussed how Jesus is present in the church.

Please let me know if you are unable to attend the Reading Cafe on Friday, so I can ask a person at school to read with them.

Monday

As we start winding down the year, students are getting spring fever and summeritis. So the curriculum is review and we are doing some end of the year assessments. This will be the last week for homework grids, but homework will still be assigned.
In math, students worked in math centers as others completed missing work and got caught up.
In language, students reviewed suffixes and irregular verbs. They also shared reading their Reading Cafe stories with a partner.
In social studies this week we are finishing up the unit on economics.
In science, we are discussing how the earth changes and what causes those changes.

Reminder: Parents must be safe environment compliant to participate in the Reading Cafe on May 29. It would be really disappointing for everyone if a parent couldn't come because they weren't in compliance. There will also be a class party on Tuesday afternoon after art on June 2, so be sure and get compliant if you are not already.

Happy Monday!
