2nd Grade School Supplies Drive volunteers needed

Faith In Action
2nd Grade School Supplies Drive
January 28th through Feb 1st

Its time to get ready and gear up for the 2nd Grade School Supplies Drive taking place during Catholic Schools Week!!

Get ready for a fun filled week as the 2nd graders put together their Faith in Action project.  They will be leading a school/parish and community wide drive to collect supplies for schools that are in need at this time.  They will minister to Friendship as they meet the needs of fellow Catholic Schools that are running short on supplies necessary to finish up their year.  At our school, we are very fortunate to be strongly supported by our school, community and our families.  There are schools in our Diocese that struggle at this time to make ends meet.  Last year, our second grade was able to tie in a copy paper drive for 2 schools that had completely run out!  Our efforts were met with great enthusiasm and much appreciation.  Our 2ndgrade truly became the hands and feet of God!
If you are interested in helping to facilitate or participate in this project, please contact Patti Jasinski at your MOST earliest convenience.

Action items include:
1 or 2 parent volunteers to oversee the project
Setting up a sign up genius for curbside supervision of collection
Scheduling a time w/teachers to make posters
Organizing a speaker (student) to speak at mass
Placing a blurb in Good News Friday
Speaking (student) at courtyard prayer on Friday Jan 25th (Mrs. Marshall?:))
Parent volunteers to deliver supplies to the schools on the morning of Monday Feb 3rd

Thank you so much for your support!
God Bless!
