Thursday

Great news! The class collectively ran 16 miles on Tuesday during PE. This is exceptional considering there we 15 students present that day. Great job!
The is a contest to name the Pope John Lion. An entry form was sent home today. If you child wants to enter it must be turned in no later than Tuesday morning.
Also, it's Book Talk time! The information pages were sent home today. They are due on Thursday February 7th. Students may not repeat a project.

Today in religion we discussed Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his vocation to be a minister and to promote peace and fairness. We also talked about how we can spread the good news about Jesus.

In language we are working on digraphs and past tense. Students are finishing up there winter stories on the netbooks.  Dibels assessments are just about complete.
In math students learned about arrays. They used snap cubes to create arrays and then they made them on graph paper and wrote an equation about the array.
in science students graphed the temperature and the weather. They also wrote in their weather journal.
