Yesterday students did an amazing job as Mass leaders.
Today students read a story about firefighters. We discussed main idea and details using a graphic organizer. We also talked about fire safety and how firefighters fight wildfires.Then they worked on short and long a and the patterns C-V-C and C-V-C-e.
they also worked in spelling on words with irregular spellings, like they, said, was, what.
In math students worked on addition regrouping in the ones place. They also played a game where they needed to trade ones for a tens rod.
In religion students drew pictures of different levels of God's creation, starting with non-living, then plants, then animals, finally humans.
