Monday

If you belong to St. Bernadette's Parish and  haven't registered their child for Reconciliation yet, to please do so prior to November 20th.

Today there was a school-wide tribute for Veterans Day. It was a lovely ceremony and I think the vets felt honored. Students also made cards to give to the vets that attended. They also made extra cards to go to vets at a hospice center.
Then students finished a Theme Assessment for reading of Unit 2. We also worked on context clues, using a drop down menu on the computer, action verbs, and abbreviations.

In math, students worked on two-step problems. They work on this tomorrow again.

We began talking about voting in social studies. I read them a book called, "Vote for Me!". It is about a donkey and an elephant running for office and their antics for getting elected. In small groups students will write and perform a commercial about why we should vote for either Donkey or Elephant. I will tape them and upload on our website when completed.
This Friday is Pride Day.
