Wednesday

Today students went to Mass. They were also able to watch a short video on Our Lady of Lourdes. Today was her feast day. We also began reading the story of St. Valentine.

In language, students practiced writing words with the /au/ and /aw/ sound. Our new reading story is called, "Nutik the Wolf Pup". The vocabulary was introduced and we began practicing making inferences after reading "My Home in Alaska". It was about a girl who received a letter from her pen pal. Not so coincidentally, we just received letters from our pen pals and we will begin writing to them tomorrow.

In math, we began subtraction using mental math.
Friday is a buck-a-jeans and Pride Day, along with our Valentine's Day Party.
