Thursday

Students are doing a great job bringing in their popcorn papers for the contest.
In language, students listened to a cute play called, "Pushing up the Sky". We discussed what the problem was in the story and how the chiefs solved it. They also read an interview with the author and most were able to interview someone in the class that they don't know so well. They certainly enjoyed it. Most are finished writing their rough draft about their president.

The directions for creating a 3-D model of a president were sent home today. On the back are the grading expectations for the completed project. The report is finished in class and the model is completed at home.It is due on Wed., March 18th.

In math, students counted money in their workbooks. In religion, we talked about how Jesus is the Good Shepherd.  In science, students were given a lesson on the heart, as they just completed Jump Rope for the Heart campaign during PE this week. They learned about how to keep your heart healthy and that God gave us a heart to take care of.
