National Emergency Alert Practice

On Wednesday, November 9^th, at 12:00 p.m., the State of Arizona will be testing the Emergency Alert System. The test plays a vital role in ensuring Arizona is prepared for all hazards and is able to receive critical information should the need arise. The Palo Verde nuclear reactor is among the sirens that might sound off and that there is some concern that people who do not know about the test may panic. The sirens in all of those government buildings in the downtown areas all over the state might also sound off. There will be broadcasts locally on radio and television stations.
